Description
This is project I've been working on for a while, and it was supposed to be a christmas gift for my mother... but that has passed. This is a decently sized painting at 24x30'' so it's taking me a long bit of time to finish it. Because of the prizes I have to work on for the recent contest, as well as commissions, I haven't had a chance to really work on it all to much. And I started classes this past week, so I doubt I'll have time to finish it before the end of the spring quarter (we only have one week of spring break, and I work throughout that.)
So I decided to show a preview. This is a small portion of the painting, but it shows the general look and feel that I'm going with. Lets see if you can figure out what animal it is. Its really hard, so if you can't figure it out, don't worry.
I'll upload the finished piece when I can, although who knows when it will be finished...

It's a penguin!
Look, the beak is at the top right corner, in black (the white stripes defines which is upper part and which is bottom). The angle of the beak is 45°, the face is looking up, at his/her neck he/she has a necklace made of an emerald with a black pearl, and he/she's wearing a big orange & black & white kimono. The penguin is turning around like a dancer, and that's why the kimono is wide open and fills the entire portion of the painting.
In fact I wonder why I'm here viewing this and how could this end up in my collection of tiger artworks
